Our valiant heroes emerge from their narrow escape into a cave full of magnificent Mushrooms.
Adamus was delayed as he got lost in the darkness of the tunnels when the god who awakened him into undeath, or so he claimed, made contact. He or she wanted Adamus to help him set free and find his temple and would only let Adamus leave once he agreed to it.
Meanwhile the rest of the party investigated the Mushroom cave. A corpse resting against a wall carries a Deed Of Delving on him. Appearently there is paper work for dungeon delving.
Deed of Delving for the Temple of Mortus
There is also a dwarf entering the cave from somewhere unknown eager to make contact with the group. His Name is Gyrig. Gyrig was part of an expedition lead by Gerdain Ironjaw that had set off from Eye Bay just a few days ago to go and find the Temple of Mortus. The expedition wasn't a lucky one. His recollection of the last few days is foggy as he is delirious and doesn't remember much besides having set up camp recently and then just fear he can't explain. He ran away and stumbled around strange tunnels for who knows how long and ended up in this cave just now.
At this point what was thought to be a floor covered in mushrooms turned out to be actually nude people that had been infected by spores. They where asking the companions to join them and where asking them what they where doing here. Quickly the group retreated through a spore cloud fog, only to find themselves facing the Shroom Queen , a goddess of shrooms that asked tribute for passage.
After the tribute was paid the party found themselves on the shores of a river where a camp was still standing, full of supplies. Gyrig recalled it was the expeditions camp.
However the camp has been disturbed and there are traces of blood, but no bodies. A note scratched into some kind of Skin was nailed to one of the tent posts.
Gyrig and Asterion wanted to leave immediately on the moored boat when their missing companions, Adamus and Grik appeared from the mushroom fog.
The group now faces a decision.
